Spelling Rules

  • Title:Should not exceed 12 words, it must be bold and capitalized and its second language counterpart must be given in small letters under the head. If the article is not written in Latin letters, Latin transcription of the title should be given. Also, the title must be written as Turkish and English.
  • Author Name: Must be written right aligned below the headline; position title, institution address and e-mail information should be given as a footnote by adding a star to his surname.
  • Abstract and Key Words: The abstract is minimum 100, maximum 200 words; the key words should be minimum 3, maximum 5 words. The references, forms and table numbers should not be mentioned in the abstract.
  • Text of Article:The article must be prepared as MS Word file. Page layout in the article is in this way:

Times New Roman is used in the articles. However, if a special font is used in the article, these fonts should be sent in company with the article.

The abbreviations used in the article must be based on Turkish Language Society Guide.

APA system is used in the articles which will be sent to the journal. Therefore, articles must be sent in accordance with the following citation system:

(Özdemir 2008: 38), (Günay ve Güngör 2011: 30), (Oğuz vd. 2010: 50).

  • Citation:Footnotes should not be used in the source, and footnotes can be only used for explanations.In the text (Özdemir 2008: 16); if the author publishes more than one publication in the same year (Özdemir 2008a, Özdemir 2008b…); if more than one sources is cited (Köprülü 1940, Kaplan 1974, Elçin 1988); first author name in publications with a few writers (Kaplan vd. 1975); if an unseen source is used (Raglan 1973, Ekici 1988); if oral source is used, the following information should be given: Name and Surname of the source, Date and Place of Interview.
  • References:Even if the article is not written in Latin letters, the bibliography must be written in Latin scripts. At the end of the text of the article, it is alphabetically written by the surnames of the authors. If an author has more than one publication in the same year, it is shown with the following citation system:

(1980a, 1980b).
